Bishop George E. Gibson II is the Shepherd of the Christian Love Worship Cathedral and Diocesan Bishop for the State of Pennsylvania and the Chair for the Pastor's Division under the United Covenant Churches of Christ (UCCC).
Bishop Gibson is the only son of the late Althea E. & George E. Gibson, Sr. As a child, he attended the Gospel Light Holiness Church under the pastorate of Bishop A.C. Wilson. He received his call to the ministry under this pastorate, and was ordained as an Elder and an Evangelist under the Fire Baptized Body, Inc.
Bishop Gibson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Intermediate Education at Winston-Salem State University. In addition to his talents as a celebrated sports figure he also pledged Omega Psi Phi fraternity and served as Basileus for the Mu Epsilon Chapter. His faith in Christ and Love of the Gospel was visible as he served in the office of Music Director of the Interdenominational Youth Choir at Winston-Salem State University. His experience in this medium ignited his passion for praise and worship in music ministry. Upon graduation, he enrolled in the Lutheran Theological Seminary for the Master of Divinity degree program, and soon after the Doctor of Ministry program.
Bishop Gibson was ordained into the Baptist Ministry in 1983 and served as an Associate Minister until his call to pastor the Holy House of Prayer for All People. The church would later become Christian Love Worship Cathedral. Under the pastor's leadership, this ministry would grow to include ministries to feed the homeless, address the HIV/AIDS epidemic, encompass a fully staffed child care program, and an adult literacy and tutorial program. In 2004 the pastor was led by the Spirit of Christ to move the Church into the United Covenant Churches of Christ Fellowship.
Bishop Gibson is a Spirit-led individual with more than 25 years of pastoral leadership sagacity, including but not limited to: planning and conducting worship services; leading effective evangelism, praise & worship, and discipleship ministries. Bishop Gibson is the CEO of Let's Go Higher Ministries which markets and promotes all spectrums of his anointed ministry. He is Executive Director of Chosen Ministries, which produces the multi-media ministry for Christian Love Worship Cathedral. Bishop Gibson's love for God's people, and vision for Christian Love Worship Cathedral is shared by his wife, Lady Tricia, (www.sweetglobalministries.com ) Bishop & Lady Gibson have three children, Noelle, Toi and Kyle.
